Get inspired by the excitement of Afro-Cuban music, songs, rhythms, and dance! Groove with the Classics Philharmonic Orchestra, special guests from the Sabrosas Latin Orchestra, and Center for World Music’s internationally recognized teaching artist and dancer Juan Carlos Blanco. Spanish/English narration will deepen the students’ understanding of this art form’s rich cultural history.
Cost-
Title 1 schools: $7 per student
All other schools: $8 per student
Teachers and Aides: Free!
Balboa Theatre is located at 868 Fourth Ave, San Diego, 92101 (Downtown) – paid parking at Horton Plaza Garage – $10
Joan B. Kroc Theatre is located at 6611 University Ave, San Diego, 92115 – free parking
Please note: students who will be travelling in private cars are encouraged to attend our concerts at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre in order to avoid parking fees.
